The aim is to recognize dysfunctional and onerous convictions and (thought + behavior) patterns and then to change them in a solution focused way.

Solution-focused therapy according to Steve de Shazer is a talk therapy which assumes that all people already carry within themselves the skills and resources to solve problems.
Solution-oriented therapies are used for anxieties, depressions, eating disorders, addictions, personality disorders and psychosomatic illnesses.
They also provide a good service in crises, personal development and general skills training.
